Day 3

Nature Camp Day 3: Ghost Huntin' and Fairy Tales
We started off this much anticipated day (the kids have been beggin' for this all week!!) with folk tales from Renee Simmons Morrison's Calico Ghost book...touring real locations from the book in White Plains and Choccolocco (aka Calico,AL)...Chosea Springs (aka Chausie Springs in the book)...Old Cooper House (aka Caulder House in the book)...Mary's grave...then on to the historic cemetery to see the Revolutionary Soldier's grave...feeling of "cold" spots (really folks...weird stuff...89 degrees outside and there are spots in that cemetery that drop to 52 degrees)...finishing up with Fairy Tales a True Story movie and building fairy houses. The kids had a blast...and so did the junior and adult helpers!!!!
